Widows is set in contemporary Chicago amidst a time of political and societal turmoil. When four armed robbers are killed in an explosive heist attempt, their widows – with nothing in common except a debt left behind by their dead husbands’ criminal activities – take fate into their own hands to forge a future on their own terms.

The film stars Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo, Colin Farrell, Brian Tyree Henry, Daniel Kaluuya, Garrett Dillahunt, Carrie Coon, Jacki Weaver, Jon Bernthal, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Robert Duvall, and Liam Neeson.
Academy Award-winners Iain Canning and Emile Sherman of See-Saw Films are producing with Steve McQueen and Arnon Milchan. The production team includes Academy Award-nominated editor Joe Walker (12 Years a Slave), Academy Award-winning production designer Adam Stockhausen (The Grand Budapest Hotel), director of photography Sean Bobbit (12 Years A Slave), and costume designer Jenny Eagan (Beasts of No Nation).
